Volksara has completed AI-led surveillance networking of Pimpri Chinchwad traffic management system. The company, a specialist in IT, non-IT and IoT solutions, is now looking at replicating the system in multiple cities in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh for replicating traffic and similar city management solutions as part of its smart and safe city solutions.
Volksara set up 2570 AI-surveillance cameras in the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation area for traffic monitoring and management and citizen assistance. Monitored round-the-clock from a central command and control centre, the project is part of smart city system aimed to assist law enforcement.
The cameras network covers 606 city locations, including Sant Nagar Chowk – Spine Road, Vasudev Balwant Phadke Chowk, Chinchwad Station, Can Bay Chowk, Indrayani Nagar Corner Bhosari, Khandoba Mall Chowk, Tilak Chowk Nigadi, and Savitribai Phule Udyan among the key ones. The cameras capture traffic jams, traffic violations and incidents and relay feedback to central command for officials to take actions in real time.
Since the pilot started in July this year, the system has already processed 422 incident requests for city and traffic police departments, leading to fast and decisive resolutions of incidents.

In another similar project, Volksara completed surveillance networking of 593 police stations and SP offices in Odisha under its State Police Stations Surveillance Solutions.
